Research of 2,000 dieting women showed these results and while they are not that shocking, it does prove to be a good reminder that some weight loss habits are not so good. If any of this sounds like what you are dealing with, here are some tips from the women surveyed.</p>
<p>A good number of those surveyed were tempted to cheat by their friend or spouse. When someone you love is setting beside you thoroughly enjoying a calorie rich snack it is going to be hard to abstain! You need the support of your friends and loved ones, especially if they are going to be eating and drinking around you. If that does not work, keep gum handy to avoid the temptations.</p>
<p>Restaurants were the key downfall of 25% of those surveyed. All your intentions generally take a vacation when you are eating out, who wants a mere salad? When you are dieting, you may want to keep the eating out to a bare minimum instead of a weekly occurrence. This will help your waist and your wallet at the same time. This also allows you to enjoy the experience and have whatever you want off the menu.</p>
<p>The study found that &#8220;each woman polled had tried to slim down an average of eight times.&#8221; This isn&#8217;t much surprise, many of us attempt diet plans and don&#8217;t succeed. But, I wonder whether the anxieties about &#8220;cheating&#8221; played a role in this.</p>
<p>Healthy eating is not merely a test. There are a lot of healthy eating guidelines available even if there are not hard rules. In order to lose stored fat on your body you must take in fewer calories than you burn, over a year, month or week.</p>
<p>A key though to keep in mind is that cheating a couple of times, slipping up or eating at a restaurant are not diet failures.</p>
<p>A good 50% of the women polled admitted that they had lied about food they had consumed. Lying about it only reinforced feelings of guilt and secrecy. Try finding a friend you can talk to instead of lying about your bad day. This should be someone who will cheer you on and not judge you or make you feel worse than you already do.</p>
<p>Hopefully the above strategies will aid you along the way and you can use them as often as you need to, just remember that cheating on your diet does not have to be the end of it all. Simply get up tomorrow morning to a whole new day and start again. Cheating only becomes an issue if you give up completely.</p>
<p>If this diet is going to be the one that succeeds, by all means avoid sources of temptation, but don&#8217;t label behavior as &#8220;cheating&#8221;. That&#8217;s the fastest way to give up altogether.</p>

<p>2. Use machines sparingly: The main issue here is that machines keep your body locked in a position that is usually seated. And if you do most of your exercise from the standing position, you will burn more calories. So try to do as much as possible from the standing position.</p>

<p>Guam, Chen, et. al., writing in the journal Cell Metabolism, were interested in researching the action of a specific bombesin receptor, called Bombesin Receptor Subtype-3 (BRS-3). In the design of their experiment, the authors used two experimental chemicals on lab rats, attempting to effect the action of this receptor. If the results were promising, this research could be extended to development of a human medicine to control obesity.</p>
<p>When the first chemical was applied to a group of lab mice, it had the effect of interfering with the action of BRS-3. And, as thought, the researchers shown that the animals began to eat a lot more food as the action of this receptor became impaired, and consequently gained weight.</p>
<p>The second compound produced stunning results. Strengthening the action of bombesin at this receptor, the animals both ate less, and increased their metabolic rate &#8211; meaning that they reduced their appetite, and increased the amount of energy burned. An ideal situation for weight loss!</p>
<p>Additionally, the researchers wrote that no side effects were seen during the course of this research. However, as it lasted only two weeks, more research needs to be performed. More exciting was the finding that the action of bombesin was not affected by other efforts to control metabolism.
